Wedding Scrapbook & Planning Tips

Girls, if you haven't already started your wedding scrapbook... what are you waiting for? As promised, here is what mine looks like, I picked this book up from Camden market in London from a Thai paper stall. I'm very into handmade rustic looking things...

I collected photos of what I wanted my dream wedding to be like.. We both wanted it to be on the beach.. Alot of people that knew me laughed at my idea but I just shook it off :)

As you can see i'm very romantic... I like things to be precise! These are just ideas.. NO we didn't dance in a heart shape made of candles. :)

Ah HAIR! I knew I wanted my hair out for my wedding years and years ago... although I did consider a low bun. TIP: Pick a hairstyle that you know you wont hate when you look back at photos years later!

The dress.. ah! I knew it had to be white/ivory which was long and didn't look like a cake! I tried on several dresses, you will know when it's THE ONE! Originally I wanted something floor length, halterneck and backless - no other detail! My mind soon changed...

I wanted some detail on the back...

This is what are invites looked like for our London wedding.. We opted for simple, striking and romantic :) The roses are 3d little paper ones if you can't already tell! TIP: Try and do something creative if your into nitty gritty things.. My friend went to the beach and wrote both of their names in the sand, took a photo and printed it on the invites - how adorable!

And here's a lil photo of me from our beach wedding in the Maldives.. Yes I had a long simple dress with gorgeous detailing at the back, no shoes, a flower headband and a coconut necklace and leaf bracelet! Totally care free.. We made our dreams come true.... :) My dress was by Castigliano if anyone is interested.

We also had a wedding ceremony in London followed by a reception dinner where family & close friends were invited. We didn't want a traditional big Turkish/Greek wedding and stuck to our word :)
ADVICE: Don't try and please others on your day, just try and please yourself... because at the end of the day no matter what you do nobody will be satisfied, ENJOY THE PLANNING AND THE DAY!

This has inspired me so much! Thank you! Me and my fiance have been engaged now since xmas dday 06 and all our friends around us seemed to get engaged after us and are married before us. We have family issues that i wont go into but it basically means that we might not get our perfect day and this is the reason ive been putting planning anything off, but i today saw denise van outens wedding day in the seychelles and she looked so carefree and happy and relaxed and i decided this is what i wanted too. it shouldnt be about other people, i actually ripped the pic out of a mag as inspiration and now i feel this must be our fate as i logged on and saw this, and your scrapbook. I think its a nice idea that you had a ceremony back in the UK too. Did many people go to the maldeives with you? would you recommend the location?

ps sorry for the life story just wanted you to know that this is a fab idea and i hope i look as gorgeous as you did on your big day, on ours :) xoxox

@missglamtan eveything happens for a reason :) im glad i inspired you! Nobody came to the maldives with us, it was just us two - it was a "WEDDINGMOON" :) Its the perfect place to go - we went to cocopalm dhuni kolhu if your interested. The London ceremony was small but very relaxed :) both weddings were beautiful! Good luck with the planning! X
