Contrast FOTD.

Contrast e/s is quite hard (for me) to wear, I admire it quite often but hardly ever use it unless I decide to do a night time smokey eye. Today I decided to wear Contrast during the day. Here's the final look.

Here's a step by step of what I did to my eyes:

  • I used Urban Decay primer potion.
  • I applied Mac 'Contrast' e/s on my lid.
  • I applied Mac 'Vellum' on the inner corner of my lid to highlight.
  • I dusted Mac 'Vellum' into the crease and brow bone very lightly.
  • I added Mac 'Romp' into the crease blending everything together.
  • I used Urban Decays 24/7 pencil in 'Lucky' on my waterline.
  • I applied Max factor lash extension mascara.
  • I applied clear brow gel to my eyebrows.

On my cheeks I used Too Faced bronzer from the quickie chronicles naughty neutral palette. Mac 'Moon River' grand duo to highlight. On my lips I am wearing Mac Creme d'nude lipstick and L'oreal Cappuccino lipliner.

How do you wear 'Contrast' e/s?

Aw you look absolutely stunning here! And the contrast e/s looks awesome!
I'm not that daring with eyeshadows as I tend to look a bit draggy with colours on my eyes, but you have inspired me to give it a go! :)
oooh, and creme d'nude is so lovely! I heart it.

I never thought I could get away with a dark eyeshadow in the morning, now I see the trick is to keep it close to the lashline. Thanks for this tip!

Oh, I love this look Gorgeous. I absolutely love Contrast, I think it blends so well and really brings out the whiteness of my eyes making for a nice bright pop. I too usually only use it for smoky eyes at night. It's brilliant to use it for a daytime look.

gorgeous =D i think you've applied just enough for a 'pop' of colour rather then a 'hey! im wearing purple eyeshadow!' kind of look.

im not daring with colours either, plus i think having blue eyes & fair skin limits me a lil with brighter shades =0/

Your close up eye shots look so pretty! :)

It's the contrast between the waterline and the eyeshadow that makes it. I'm definitely going to try to recreate this! x

You can also pair it with a little gold and keep it on the outer V. It will look gorgeous and a lil egyptian inspired on your perfect skintont ^^

What foundation did you use in this look? It gives a lovely glow!

You look wonderful! Kudos to you for using different colours, I always use neutrals but posts like these make me want to try a change once in a while :)

Thanks for your responses girls, I think when the colour is kept to the lashline it doesn't look so 'out there'. :)

@Une fille Lambda That's a great idea, I shall try that out! X

You look gorgeous! Have you tried the new Revlon Lipsticks, they are so similar to the mac cremesheens and they have a gorgeous nude color that I reviewed on my blog. Please check it out! :)

I don't have Contrast but I have Flashtrack which is also perfect for a night time blue smokey! I've never actually worn it during the day because putting it on subtly just doesn't do the colour any justice. I imagine it would look lovely and intense used wet to line the eye, but I generally use Stila Cobalt Smudgepot for a blue if I'm not using black pencil or gel xx

I love how you do your make up. You are literally the opposite skin tone to me and I always long to wear all the colours that you do. xx
